Biography Many diversified and interests can be attributed to Craig Petersen, a native Cleveland artist, among them his ability to capture interesting scenes of rural America through his watercolors landscapes. His distinctive interpretations of nature include seascapes, rustic barbs, snow fences draping over ever so precariously on a solitary beach and woodlands graced with white birches. An associate member of the Ohio Watercolor society, Craig has exhibited his works in various art galleries and universities in the midwestern states and Florida for 20 plus years. Besides teaching watercolor classes, he also is a freelance artist for a national greeting card company. Craig has studied under national known watercolor artists who have help him develop a sensitivity for color and a feel of natures earthy tones. This feel for color, along with an ability to create from mental images of careful outdoor observation, combined to produce watercolors of outstanding aesthetic quality. His watercolor paintings has won him various awards. Constantly searching to create new and interesting scenes, Craig is always expanding his portfolio of visual images, which he interprets on paper. His search for detail takes him through rural Indiana, Ohio and the eastern seacoast.
